One Piece Episode 4 : Luffy's past! Introducing Red-haired Shanks!

A pretty amazing episode if you ask me.

The best part was definitely Luffy's flashback. 

We see a pirate named Shanks with red hair making a halt at Luffy's village. Luffy's seems to be very fond of them, he even visits the pub together, although mostly people think pirates are bad people.

Shanks's group also seems to be very fond of Luffy, although initially they laughed at Luffy's wish to become a pirate.

The antagonist of this episode was the group of Mountain Bandits. They as far as spilled beer on Shanks just because they didn't get any beer themselves. Luffy became very angry when neither Shanks nor any other member from his group fought back, though Shanks said that all the Bandit did was just spill some beer.

Out of his anger, Luffy ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi, which made him Rubberman and thus never being able to swim again.

The next time the Bandits came to the bar and make fun of the pirates, Luffy fought back, which let him being abducted by the bandits. The mayor of the village and the bar owner Makino both plea to the Bandits to spare Luffy, though it was at vain.

Shanks and team fought back the bandits in style at the scene, however the head of the bandits left the place with Luffy towards the sea(the scene when Shanks panics lol).

Shanks later saves a drowning Luffy from a Sea monster, but only at the cost of his left arm. The Bandit gets eaten by the monster.

When Shanks and team leaves, Luffy proclaims that he will become the Pirate King and find One Piece.

Seeing that Shanks gives Luffy his strawhat  and asks him to promise to return the hat the day he becomes a great pirate.

The flag of the Red haired pirates is pretty cool btw.

Nami steals a boat from a group of pirates under Buggy in style. She also has good navigational skills. She manages to steal the map of Grand Line from Buggy as well.

Though most of the episode we see the courageous little Luffy, the episode ends with him being an idiot as always(caught by the bird and the entry in the last scene lol).

Zoro also 'helps' the pirates under Buggy though instantly taking over after they know his true identity. Moreover, Zoro is just lost lol.

Next episode: Finally we see Buggy the Clown!!
